When were you “bitten” by the entrepreneurial bug?
Ever since I was little I always knew I wanted to make an impact on the world. I was always told I would be an excellent attorney (I still would love to do that some day) I have always had a lot of fight in me so I knew starting a business would be something I would enjoy. I love a challenge and I am up for anything!
What’s been the hardest part about starting your own business as a millennial entrepreneur?
It takes money up-front to start a business. As a wife, homeowner, and mom of 2, it’s hard to come up with “extra money” for a business.
What resources have you found helpful in blazing your own trail?
Honestly… Trial and error. I find that best when making your own trail. You can get advice from family and friends but in the end you have to make your own decisions. If something flops, that’s on you. If it succeeds, that’s on you as well.
Who’s your entrepreneurial hero?
I look up to Chelsea Krost, Ivanka Trump, Marie Forleo and many others. If I were to write out everyone I admire it would take me hours!
What advice do you have for today’s aspiring entrepreneurs?
START! Just start. Get out there with something! When my husband wanted to start his new business (his second business) I remember sitting with him and he kept saying it’s not ready, it’s not ready and I pushed him to just start. Get out there with something! The thing is people/customers will tell you where your system is flawed. I can’t stress the importance of getting out there and starting enough. Let other people’s feedback guide you.
